Swiss COVID Systems Revealed

16:30 – 17:15 Pavillon

The COVID-19 Virus has kept us in suspense of what is next for nearly two years until now. In addition, it keeps us wondering how we can ever overcome its grip over us. In his talk, System Architect Sebastian Matyas will lift the curtain on three COVID-19 related projects of the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication (FOITT): the SwissCovid App, the national contact tracing database and the COVID-19 Certificate Apps. We will get to know the story of when and how FOITT and its partners created these products and why they chose certain technologies and architectures. Sebastian hopes that the talk will highlight how technology can help us out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
